More to come!

What's up guys! I've been busy getting ready for exam but hell, I went to cinema the other night to catch up "The Departed" lol! It was a good long 185 mins. The Chinese flick "Internal Affairs" turned Hollywood flick featured all-star cast, Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon, two of my favorites and the all time bad player but outstanding, Jack Nicholson!
For the time being, I'm totally whacked out from exam but I'll b writing it as soon as I could squeeze some time out. Anyway, my friends were saying the movie didn't have some of the scenes as did "Internal Affairs". It was more complete, so they say. At any chance, I'd try to catch up watching "Internal Affairs" so we could draw some lines between the movies. Oh, and the review on "World Trade Center", I'll have it done just about time I write "The Departed". Until then, stay turned. Who knows, I might feel like writing anytime soon.

The Prestige!

As promised, the review on "The Prestige"!

First of all, the movie is not everyone's cup of tea. But if you understand the scenario well, you wouldn't be saying "hell, I didn't know what was going on". This review will help you understand better as you watch the movie.

As I have mentioned in previous post, it's about two rivalry magicians who are always trying to surpass each other. Rupert Angier(Hugh Jackman) and Alfred Borden(Christian Bale) plays the two magician friends. Their friendly competition has turned into a battle with deadly consequences after an accident(which happened in the beginning). The cast in addition includes two time Oscar winner Michael Caine and the gorgeous Scarlett Johansson.

So, after the accident, there were consequences. Then, movie started rewinding from a point to show how it all happened, so dun think it's jumping here and there. You'll see their many attempts in trying every possible ways and even sacrificing their love ones to get each others tricks and get revenges. Consequently, their battle started jeopardizing the lives of everyone around them. Remember, this is not the movie where you can predict it, instead, it'll tie knots on your mind. It's the kind of movie where everything get settled and you get the clear picture of the whole thing only in the end! The movie is full of twist and turns. It will just keep you guessing and just when you think what's going to happen, you'll get another twist and ditto! I love movies with full of twist and it's superior of its kind. I'd rate this a 9 out of 10 and it's a must watch!

I guess I'd write a few more reviews this week, "World trade Centre" or may be "The Departed". "The Departed" isn't on the screens yet, but I'm gona check it out today. Either way, I'll be writing one. Stay tuned till then!

Happy Depavali and Hari Raya!

Hari Raya holiday week begins! Happy Depavali! For me, it's a hell of movie week! Well, since I dun wana fill my entries with the boring thoughts or things I do today, I guess I'd wirte reviews of the movies I've watched within this few weeks. It might be helpful for those who are heading to cinema within this few week. Alrite, lets start with:

The Devil Wears Parada

It's a much-awaited chick flick. The story was based on an international best-selling novel. The 14th Oscar Nominator plays "Miranda Priestley", the demanding fashion editor of "Runaway" fashion magazine. Her role as the much-feared and sophisicated director, gives outstanding performance. Every morning, she would step into the office in a terryfying scence with all her stuff thrown all over the assistant's table. There's a blend of sophisication in the way she looks, talks, smiles and everything!

Meanwhile, Anna Hathaway as "Andy Sachs" tries so hard to be the perfect assistant to Miranda. She puts everything from hard work to her private time. This is where the movie becomes alive, how she tries to be the perfect assistant of the director of "Runway" Fashion magazine while initially showing no fashion sense and scorned by everyone. From here onwards, you're gona see alot of fabulous and attractive fashions especially on Anna's gorgeous body. However, her new job demands her to start losing her friends and even her relationship. Eventually, she is forced to make a decision of where she wants to be in her life and she did, which you'll find out when you get to watch it.

My rating on the movie would be a six out of ten. And it's recommanded to watch with a friend or two. Afterwards, you could probably exchange your opinons on fashion scences seen throughout the movie (this is for chicks, unless some of the guys want to). That's it for now and coming up next, "The Prestige", a story of two rivalry magicians, always trying to surpass each other by trying their best to steal the opponent's trick and encounter a better one. For the time being, I'm gona finish up my final work for assignment which is due tomorow. So, stay tuned until then!

Just for a laugh!

I got forwarded this in my mail box and thought I would post this up. It's abt Malaysians way of speaking English. It's pretty common amongst malaysian and singaporean teens I'd say. So, just sit down and think abt it, you'll find it funny. Who knows, it's simple, short and straight to the point. Anyway, it made me smiled after reading this. Enjoy!
